Meme cop out.

I've not updated this for a while, and intend to do so imminently. But first, I'll cop out and do the current memes.
What was the last thing you bought?
A very tasty Lamb biriyani fromDisco Curry 2000 in Brum (which thankfully wasn't 3 years out of date)
What was the last thing you bought that you regretted?
Cigarettes. I always regret buying them, but hey, I'm a hopeless addict!
What was the last CD you bought? Any good?
Hmmm... last cd I bought was a spindle of blank ones. For burning stuff onto. Last mp3 I d/led (which is a more accurate indicator of my music tastes) was Headgirl - Please don't touch (a silly slab of 80s heavy metal)
What is the longest friendship you have had?
I've been friends with one mate for as long as I can remember, so 27 odd years, I guess.
What word/s do you use for your friends ('mates', 'pals' etc)?
Friends, mates, chums, whatever I feel like. I have different words for different sections of my friends.
What word/s do you use for your partners ('SO', 'lover' etc)?
It changes with every girlfriend. But currently the most appropriate word is "non-existant".
What is the best gift you have ever received?
Love.
What is the best role-playing moment you have experienced?
Oooh. Hmmmm. Many many great moments. So, to pick a couple...
Broadsword LRP - 1989 - The end of a three day special adventure, and my character, high priest of his faith and the most powerful mystic that the system had seen, had survived. However, left in the centre of the field was a crown. One that we knew would return the great evil in just a few years if something was not done. He walked to the middle of the field and destroyed it, despite knowing that it would kill him if he did so. It was the first time that a character ever made a decision without me. No argument would be tolerated, and none was offered. This was also the first time that I saw friends weep over the loss of one of my characters.
The Gathering - 1996 - Lachlann and Fig died. Ailish fell apart. The dragons lost the plot. Connall was so deep into it all that his heart broke. That weekend changed everything.
NWO Games Levant Tribunal - 2001 - Al-Jafar triumphed in Certamen against his master. I've never experienced such an intense high. At that moment I could have flown.
And those are just selected highlights. To answer this question fully would take months. So many good roleplayers are my friends, every time I step out into an event with you all, I know that something magnificent is going to happen.
And the worst?
The backbiting, the vast incomprehensible alteration to personality that the LT engenders.
What book are you reading at the moment? (or last read. If several, the one you dipped into last!)
Slowly working my way through Feersum Enjinn by Iain M Banks.
Do you read one genre of literature, or many?
I'm a book whore. I'll read anything.
Are there any genres you detest?
No. I'm a book whore.
What about films? All one type, or a variety?
As wide a variety as I can possibly manage.
Any film genres you can't stand?
Anything "Based on a true story". That's not strictly speaking true, as I'm sure that there some good films based on true stories, but I can't recall any. And I especially hate US TV movies that fall into this category.
What is the the best job that you have had?
Games writing. Bit of a no-brainer this one.
If you could do one thing once ever without any consequences to yourself, what would you do?
Can I get back to you on this one?
And now for the next....
Number of times I have been in love:
I don't know. Which probably means never or a lot of times. If pushed I'd say 1.
Number of times I have had my heart broken:
Every day a little piece of my heart crumbles away.
Number of hearts I have broken:
Enough to be thoroughly ashamed.
Number of boys I have kissed in my life:
2
Number of girls I have kissed:
More than I can count. I actually tried and can't remember all of them. This is not something of which I am (often) proud.
Number of continents I have visited:
Assuming that Europe counts, 3. Europe, Asia and North America.
Number of people I would classify as true, could trust with my life type friends:
More than are actually that kind of friend.
Number of people from high school that I stayed in contact with:
None that I ever attended school with. Some that have been friends for that long tho.
Number of cd's that I own:
Not as many as I'd like, and too many to be healthy.
Number of piercings:
1 - now closed.
Number of tattoos:
None. But I'd like to get one someday. Just need the right design.
Number of times my name has appeared in the newspaper:
Mebbe 3 dozen times. A number when I was a lot younger, a lot from when I used to write for the local music papers.
Number of scars on my body:
A lot. Including one big one that I'll tell you the story of if you get me drunk enough.
Number of people that has made me scared of what they could do to me physically:
An awful lot. Some of them have made me scared by trying to do things to me physically.
Number of things in my past that I regret
My life is a patchwork of regrets sewn together with hope. But I try not to let it bother me.
